Reflecting post-holiday seasonality and an unfavorable calendar shift, U.S. hotel performance fell from the previous week and showed weakened comparisons against 2019, according to STR ‘s latest data through Jan. 7. Jan. 1-7 2023 (percentage change from comparable week in 2019): Occupancy: 47.2% (-11.5%). Average daily rate (ADR): $142.82 (+11.2%).

Opened in 2021, the hotel is located 20 minutes south of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

France: Hyatt has opened FirstName Bordeaux, a lifestyle hotel joining the JdV by Hyatt collection of independent properties. Located close to the Garonne River, FirstName Bordeaux has been designed by architect Nicolas Adnet from Studio MHNA. It features 147 guest rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar, meeting spaces and a secret speakeasy. . Rooms at FirstName Bordeaux are divided into seven categories, ranging from Cocoon to FirstRoom.
Hunter Hotel Advisors has arranged the sale of the Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Midtown. MIG Real Estate Group (MIG) sold both properties to HOS Management as a portfolio for an undisclosed amount. Robert Taylor, Sophia Pittaluga and Trey Scott of Hunter’s Miami and Jacksonville offices arranged the sales on behalf of MIG.
France: Accor and shipbuilding company Chantiers de l’Atlantique will launch the 220-metre-long Orient Express Silenseas in 2026. . Described as the “world’s largest sailing ship”, Orient Express Silenseas will feature 54 suites, two swimming pools, two restaurants, and a speakeasy bar. . Guests will be able to attend shows in the ship’s Amphitheatre-Cabaret, equipped with a private recording studio.
