Fortune’s CFO Daily recently profiled Leeny Oberg, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Development in a piece about Marriott’s brand-new global headquarters. Leeny led Fortune on a behind-the-scenes tour of the building.

She showcased the company’s state-of-the-art facilities, including a 7,500-square-foot health and fitness center; a nearly 11,000-square-foot childcare center; Marriott’s Design Lab and Test Kitchen, noting that every decision made for the building was to help our associates love where they come to work. At its core, the building is an extension of the company’s commitment to its people-first culture. Leeny explained, Our whole concept of hospitality came from one of our core values of putting people first, which adheres to the concept that if you treat your associates well, then they will treat the customers well and they’ll want to come back time and time again for that kind of service.

In addition to highlighting the company’s new campus, Leeny also sat down with Fortune to discuss the evolution of the CFO role and her positive experiences in the position: I kind of knew that as soon as I got to Marriott, it was going to be great to be working in a department where the CFO had that broad perspective on helping with the strategy of the company.
