US: Abby Murtagh has been appointed vice president and managing director of The Broadmoor, Colorado, effective 4 January 2023.
Murtagh joins the property from Arizona Biltmore, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, where she held the role of general manager. Prior to this, Murtagh was general manager of the Hilton Salt Lake City.
At The Broadmoor, Murtagh will be oversee the resort’s financial strategy along with the Seven Falls and the Wilderness Experiences boutique camps portfolio. Collectively, the resort spans 5,000 acres including 784 rooms, suites and cottages.

The Broadmoor is located in Colorado Springs, at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Amenities include two championship golf courses, a spa and fitness centre, tennis courts, 19 retail outlets, and several restaurants, cafes and lounges.
Three all-inclusive properties – The Ranch, Cloud Clamp and Orvis Endorsed Fly-Fishing Camp – comprise the Wilderness Experiences portfolio. The resort also owns and manages three attractions: The Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway, and the Seven Falls and Soaring Adventure zip-line courses.
