AJS Hotels has appointed Michael Swasey as SVP, operations.
He joins the company with three decades of hospitality industry experience. In his new role, he works in tandem with various teams to manage multi-site operations and streamline guest experiences. He will oversee all aspects of day-to-day financial and operational functions, implementing strategic sales and marketing initiatives while executing numerous large-scale events and conferences across the company’s portfolio of Louisville hotels. Prior to joining AJS, he most recently served as SVP, operations for Crescent Hotels & Resorts, where he oversaw a portfolio of branded and independent resorts and hotels across Florida and Atlanta.
Swasey has also held multiple senior leadership and operational roles including COO of Marcus Hotels & Resorts and head of operations and asset management for Alena Hospitality. He has also held the position of VP, asset management for Inland American Lodging Management LLC (now Xenia REIT). He has also worked with B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group, Legacy Hospitality Inc., InterContinental Hotel Group and Sage Hospitality.
