US: Auberge Resorts Collection, a portfolio of luxury hotels, resorts and residences, has been appointed to manage the urban hotel and residences, The Knox, in Dallas, Texas.

MSD Partners, Trammell Crow Company, Highland Park Village Associates, and The Retail Connection have selected Auberge Resorts Collection to manage the upcoming urban property, located in the centre of Dallas and the city’s Knox Street neighbourhood.

The Knox hotel, set to open in 2026, forms part of a four-acre luxury lifestyle mixed-use development that includes retail and restaurant, luxury office and multifamily, and a new park connected to the Katy Trail.

When complete, The Knox will feature 105 rooms and suites, 53 private residences, a private club with a bar and lounge, sunroom, fitness centre and indoor pool, along with preferred access to Auberge hotel amenities.

Amenities include a second floor restaurant, indoor and outdoor lounges, event spaces, an outdoor pool bar, and a fitness centre with a spa and studio space. Martin Brudnizki Design Studio will lead the project with Chad Dorsey appointed to design the private residences.

Coburn Packard, partner and head of real estate at MSD Partners, said: “We are pleased to partner with Auberge Resorts Collection and look forward to their collaboration as we prepare to launch this extraordinary retreat in the heart of the iconic Knox Street neighbourhood.

“The Knox represents a natural extension of our portfolio of exceptional and market-defining luxury hotels, resorts, and residences, and we are delighted to bring our vision to life in Dallas’ most vibrant urban lifestyle destination.”

Dan Friedkin, chairman of Auberge Resorts Collection, said: “We are thrilled to expand our portfolio in Dallas’ most dynamic neighbourhood – the historic Knox District – which continues to see tremendous growth and energy.

“Our partnership with ownership allows us to bring our one-of-a-kind Auberge experience to even more destinations in Texas. The hotel and residences will complement the destination with exciting locally driven food and beverage offerings, vibrant cultural experiences and curated health and wellness experiences,” he added.

According to the company’s website, Auberge currently operates one other site in Texas: the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin. Bowie House, located in Fort Worth, is scheduled to open this year.
