EMEA: Luxury hospitality group Belmond has appointed Christian Boyens  and Iain Langridge as VP’s of two newly created divisions.

Beginning his new role on 23 January, Boyens will become VP and divisional leader of Southern Europe, overseeing the operations and management of Belmond properties across Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Prior to joining Belmond, Boyens served as head of operations for urban hotels act LVMH Hotel Management/Cheval Blanc. For more than eight years, he also held the position of general manager of The Ritz Paris where he oversaw the closure, renovation and repositioning of the hotel.

Langridge first joined Belmond in 2020 as divisional managing director for Asia Pacific. During this time, he has also taken on additional responsibilities at a global level and helped with the delivery of strategic initiatives across the company.

The company has now promoted Langridge to VP and divisional leader of Northern Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific.

The two appointments follow a recent restructure at Belmond, which saw the creation of two new divisions which Langridge and Boyens will now lead.

Roeland Vos, CEO of Belmond, said: “Both Christian and Iain are exceptional leaders with proven track records to achieve outstanding performance and strong passion to develop and grow the next generation of hospitality talent. We are thrilled to have them both to lead these newly created divisions as we continue to strengthen our portfolio through elevating brand desirability and operational excellence.”
