SHR Group has made two appointments to its executive team as it accelerates its global expansion: Thomas Schulz has been named chief financial officer and Heinrich Kessler has been appointed as chief commercial officer.

Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., appointed Dr. Romie Mushtaq as the company’s first chief wellness officer. Mushtaq will help establish a wellness-focused foundation for Great Wolf that includes training materials, education tools, and programs.

Highgate appointed Scott Kawasaki as director of sales and marketing for the Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa, opening in March 2024. Kawasaki will lead all sales efforts and maximize revenue and overall profit for the property.

The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa has appointed Jorge Petterson as executive chef, overseeing the resort’s culinary program across five on-site restaurants, including Splash, The Carolina Room, View 32, Ingredients, and Oceans.

The Allison Inn & Spa welcomed Ron Stevens as its new director of food and beverage and Jill King as marketing and communications manager. Stevens will oversee culinary programming and King will assist the property in relevant operations.

Rosewood Baha Mar announced the appointment of Brendan Steenhuisen as head sommelier, where he will service the property’s dining outlets. Steenhuisen brings 23 years of experience in the beverage industry to this new role.

InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue announced new appointments to its food and beverage team: Andrew Gietzen as executive chef, Cherry Tsui as director of food and beverage, Marie Yoshimizu as lead mixologist, and Allison Wells as senior catering sales manager.
